On March 19th, Cainiao, in collaboration with AliExpress, carried out a comprehensive upgrade of the Global Five-Day Delivery service.

Dutch enthusiast of Chinese culture, Mila, got her “Cao County origin” horse-face skirt delivered to her doorstep just five days after placing the order, injecting momentum into the overseas trend of Chinese fashion.
What is Global Five-Day Delivery?
The Global 5-Day Delivery is an international express product launched by AliExpress in partnership with Cainiao. Consumers who place orders for products with a “5-day delivery” label under the Choice channel can receive packages from China within 5 business days.
As the world’s largest cross-border e-commerce logistics provider, Cainiao began constructing a global smart logistics network before 2017 and launched the cross-border express standard product “5 Dollar 10-Day Delivery,” reducing the industry’s standard delivery time from 30-60 days to just ten days.
In September 2023, Cainiao, in collaboration with AliExpress, pioneered the Global Five-Day Delivery in countries like Spain, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom, winning the trust of cross-border merchants and consumers. Cainiao data shows that in the third quarter of the 2024 fiscal year, the volume of orders for Global Five-Day Delivery achieved triple-digit strong growth quarter-over-quarter.
By March 19, 2024, according to the official Weibo message from Alibaba Global AliExpress, the Global 5-Day Delivery service, in cooperation between Cainiao and AliExpress, added five more service countries, including Germany, France, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, the United States, and Mexico.
As the first cross-border e-commerce express flagship product to be implemented on a large scale, the Global Five-Day Delivery has added new service countries, including key markets. Both fully managed and semi-managed merchants can enjoy the rapid fulfillment experience brought by this product, which applies to general merchandise and electronic goods.
Overseas Expansion Allies——Cainiao and AliExpress
Cainiao and AliExpress, as partners in global expansion, aim to transform Global Five-Day Delivery into a worldwide express delivery service for cross-border merchants. Logistics efficiency is a critical breakthrough in increasing order volumes on cross-border e-commerce platforms.

Ongoing Support and Investment
Beyond significantly enhancing cross-border logistics efficiency, after-sales support must also keep pace. AliExpress has introduced after-sales guarantees for consumers, including refunds for overdue, lost, broken, or delayed deliveries.
Furthermore, new local customer service centers will be opened in Europe and Mexico. Mexico will become the sixth country where AliExpress has local customer service centers for languages other than Chinese. It is planning to employ over 100 local customer service staff to serve consumers in Mexico.
The successful launch of Global Five-Day Delivery in critical markets is just the beginning.
